Given the fall in the number of foreign students for study in Australia Immigration Delhi the
government has announced new visa rules. It is believed that this will increase
the number of students coming from other countries of the world including
India. New rules will be applicable from next year.

According to the official news agency AAP, the government
announced these rules on Thursday that it will simplify the visa process for
registration in Australia universities. This change has been done after
reviewing visa rules by the Australia
Immigration Consultant Minister of New South Wales Michael
Nat.
Under the new rules, financial requirements have been
simplified to achieve student visas. The applicant currently needs less than 36
thousand dollars [about 17 lakh rupees] from the amount required to the bank
account. After completion of studies, students will be allowed to stay in Immigration
Australia For the next two to four years under the work visa. This
period will depend on their merit.
It has been reported in the report that Michael Knight,
after review, had given 41 suggestions to the Government for a change in visa
rules, which he has been accepted.
Education Minister Chris Evans hoped that with these
changes, the Australia Immigration University will be able to present a tough
challenge at the international level. It is notable that in the year 2008-09,
65,503 Indian students were given Australia Immigration visas. However, this
number has decreased to 29,721 in the year 2009-10.
